Stomach Trouble

Uh Oh, looks like we got a little stomach trouble this morning. After breakfast Michelle and I started to get the dreaded stomach gurgling Never a good sign. We can only attribute this to last nights dinner or the water that they served with dinner. The water was in pitchers so we don’t know if it was bottled or not. Since we will be in Antigua for two more nights, we opted to stay back. I broke the news to Carlos and he provided us with some local “imodium” medication. Carlos said that if it is a local bacteria infection, the Imodium won’t do s**t (yes, pun intended).
We will miss the home hosted lunch, macadamia/coffee plantation tour, chicken bus ride and the visit to the elementary school. Oh well, at least we will make the Jade factory tour.
We just be kicking it at the hotel today. This will give us time to update our blogs and turn our laundry in for cleaning.
The rest of the group will be returning around 4 o’clock. Hopefully we will be better by then.

Jordan Day 1

 It's been almost three years since we had payed for our trip to Jordan and Israel.  THREE FUCKING YEARS! We finally went and had a great time.   The trip lasted almost a month and we started our adventure in Amman, Jordan.  We arrived a day early so we could acclimate to the time change (nine hour difference).   We had purchased some Briggs and Riley high end luggage in hopes to carry them on the plane due to all of the recent horror stories of lost and or delayed baggage.  No such luck!  We were forced to check our bags at the gate in Denver.  If we had known our bags would have to be checked, we would have brought a lot more clothes and a much bigger suitcase.  We only brought six days of clothes (with an extra abundance of underwear and socks).   The planes were on time and we arrived in Amman a bit tired and eager to get going.   Our first hotel was the House Boutique Hotel which was really comfortable.  The hotel had a roof top pool and most importantly, a roof top bar. Thank You For The Smoke (California)! Wyoming Sucked

Another attempt at Astrophotography gone up in smoke.   Thank you California for the ruining our Wyoming weekend.  Don't worry, we will be visiting soon and will definitely leave a mark on your ass. The smoke was so bad in Wyoming.  Thick, grey and disgusting. Of course, this didn't stop people from going to one of our favorite spots in Wyoming.  Medicine Bow National Forest.   We dressed for 60 degree weather.  We didn't expect 35 degree weather with fog and blustery wind.  Glad we packed additional clothes (hats, gloves, scarfs etc). I am ahead of myself.  The day excursion to Medicine Bow was the second day.   We spent the first day at the Wyoming Territorial Prison to visit relatives.  Ha...the prison is now a park.  The prison's most famous prisoner was Butch Cassidy.  The only prison that Butch was incarcerated in.  Pretty good for career criminal. Medertariain Food!

We have had a hankering for some Mediterranean food for the past week or so. I talked to a co-worker of mine, Laufnick and he recommended a place in Boulder called, The Med. Since our nephew, Travis just signed up for a four year stint in the Air Force, we decided this would be a good way to celebrate. Okay, a little more about the Air Force….Travis has been interested in enlisting for quite some time but he had to do some prep work before he could be considered an applicant. Travis had to drop about 30 pounds before he could enlist. When Travis made his goal weight, he contacted a recruiter (which was a nightmare by the way) and started the enlistment process. This past Tuesday, Travis took his entrance exam (and scored a whopping 92%) and took a physical. After successfully passing his physical and spilling his urine on his roommate (another story to share at a later time) he officially became enlisted.
