Bonfire

Bonfire at Chelsea and Josh’s house!

Chelsea and Josh live way the f*&k out in the sticks (the entire town of Sellersburg is the sticks) and we got lost a few times (make a left at the stop sign, NOT a right). On the bright side, we got to see a lot more of the sticks.

At the height of the night, approximately twenty-five or more people were present. I’ll add more photos later. I am just using the pictures taken on my iPhone for now. It may take a week or three to update the photos so don’t get all pissy with me asking where the pictures are at. Maybe I will put them on the 2016 calendar just to be a dick.

Speaking of dicks, Chelsea’s yard has a boat load of ticks. Michelle and I saturated ourselves with Off! so we pretty much we left unscathed. Josh on the other hand had to remove around eight or so ticks from where he didn’t spray off (refer to the first sentence of this paragraph. Sorry Josh, Chelsea snitched you out. Pictures say a thousand words but unfortunately (actually, FORTUNATELY, Chelsea didn’t provide any). Ha

We enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, cookies (and more cookies), s’mores and more (did you try the BB-Q’d Peeps? Thanks, Josh…good call!

Kansas and Oklahoma Road Trip

One thing is for certain is that traffic does not exist in Kansas or Oklahoma.  Not even during the Labor Day Weekend. Michelle and I took Friday off so we could do a short road trip (750 miles one way is considered short for us) through Kansas and to Tulsa, OK. Michelle plotted a few interesting things to see in both states. Kansas:  Monument Rock (yes, a rock), Strataca Salt Mine and the Keeper of the Plains in Wichita. Oklahoma:  A waterfall and the Philbrook Museum of Art. We got off of the interstate for Monument Rock and the road immediately turned into a dirt road.  Drive twenty miles, make a left.  Drive six more miles, make a right.  Drive twelve more miles, make a right.  This went on for a bit but we eventually got there.  We pulled in the parking area and nobody else was present.  Sign of good things to come. The sun wasn't out and but we had some cool clouds for the most part. I will have to say that Monument Rock was really cool.  In the middle of nowher

Jordan Day 1

It's been almost three years since we had payed for our trip to Jordan and Israel.  THREE FUCKING YEARS! We finally went and had a great time.   The trip lasted almost a month and we started our adventure in Amman, Jordan.  We arrived a day early so we could acclimate to the time change (nine hour difference).   We had purchased some Briggs and Riley high end luggage in hopes to carry them on the plane due to all of the recent horror stories of lost and or delayed baggage.  No such luck!  We were forced to check our bags at the gate in Denver.  If we had known our bags would have to be checked, we would have brought a lot more clothes and a much bigger suitcase.  We only brought six days of clothes (with an extra abundance of underwear and socks).   The planes were on time and we arrived in Amman a bit tired and eager to get going.   Our first hotel was the House Boutique Hotel which was really comfortable.  The hotel had a roof top pool and most importantly, a roof top bar. A lit

Thank You For The Smoke (California)! Wyoming Sucked

Another attempt at Astrophotography gone up in smoke.   Thank you California for the ruining our Wyoming weekend.  Don't worry, we will be visiting soon and will definitely leave a mark on your ass. The smoke was so bad in Wyoming.  Thick, grey and disgusting. Of course, this didn't stop people from going to one of our favorite spots in Wyoming.  Medicine Bow National Forest.   We dressed for 60 degree weather.  We didn't expect 35 degree weather with fog and blustery wind.  Glad we packed additional clothes (hats, gloves, scarfs etc). I am ahead of myself.  The day excursion to Medicine Bow was the second day.   We spent the first day at the Wyoming Territorial Prison to visit relatives.  Ha...the prison is now a park.  The prison's most famous prisoner was Butch Cassidy.  The only prison that Butch was incarcerated in.  Pretty good for career criminal. We spent most of the day at the prison.  Historical Prisons will the only ones that I will visit.  My mother raised m
