What A Little Paint Can Do!

What would you do on a weekend when all it does is snow? Paint of course!

Colorado is experiencing the biggest snow storm since 2012. Of course we are not getting any snow like they are in the east (yeah, Boston, I’m talking to you).

So we took this time to go to Lowes and pick out some paint for the basement bathroom, the entry hallway and my home office.

We started painting yesterday morning and pretty much just got finished this evening (just in time for the start of the Oscars).

I guess you are dying to see the results huh? I won’t make you wait any longer…here are the results:

Yes, I posted a picture of our world map, but now the wall is yellowish mustard

The basement bathroom (before) - You probably notice that there is a little yellow on the wall. We had a bunch of yellow paint left over so we put some of the yellow paint on the wall to see if we liked it. As you will soon see, we didn’t like it and went in a totally different direction.

Jordan Day 1

It's been almost three years since we had payed for our trip to Jordan and Israel.  THREE FUCKING YEARS! We finally went and had a great time.   The trip lasted almost a month and we started our adventure in Amman, Jordan.  We arrived a day early so we could acclimate to the time change (nine hour difference).   We had purchased some Briggs and Riley high end luggage in hopes to carry them on the plane due to all of the recent horror stories of lost and or delayed baggage.  No such luck!  We were forced to check our bags at the gate in Denver.  If we had known our bags would have to be checked, we would have brought a lot more clothes and a much bigger suitcase.  We only brought six days of clothes (with an extra abundance of underwear and socks).   The planes were on time and we arrived in Amman a bit tired and eager to get going.   Our first hotel was the House Boutique Hotel which was really comfortable.  The hotel had a roof top pool and most importantly, a roof top bar. A lit

The Graduation of Travis Part III

We dropped Travis off at the barracks on time and headed back to the hotel. We kind of got up on time the next morning to pick up Travis at 8:00am. We drove around the barracks like pedophiles around an elementary school and finally found him. We were able to take a tour of the barracks before going to Sea World. The barracks reminded me of the reform school. The only thing missing were the Nuns and their num-chucks.   WOW! Take picture and simonize it.   Travis had obtained free passes for Sea World. We had a good time. We caught all of the animal shows and even take in a roller coaster ride. Travis opted to sit it out since he doesn’t like the up and down motion. Your’e in the Air Force Travis…get used to it The Iron Eel   SeaWorld     Whales Seal We headed back to the base to drop Travis off. We said our goodbyes as we were leaving early tomorrow morning to start the drive home. We got up the next day and drove home. The end

Medertariain Food!

We have had a hankering for some Mediterranean food for the past week or so. I talked to a co-worker of mine, Laufnick and he recommended a place in Boulder called, The Med. Since our nephew, Travis just signed up for a four year stint in the Air Force, we decided this would be a good way to celebrate. Okay, a little more about the Air Force….Travis has been interested in enlisting for quite some time but he had to do some prep work before he could be considered an applicant. Travis had to drop about 30 pounds before he could enlist. When Travis made his goal weight, he contacted a recruiter (which was a nightmare by the way) and started the enlistment process. This past Tuesday, Travis took his entrance exam (and scored a whopping 92%) and took a physical. After successfully passing his physical and spilling his urine on his roommate (another story to share at a later time) he officially became enlisted. I looked up The Med on the internet and from what I saw, the place looks
